Transfer of Mine Detection Dogs to B&H Armed Forces

psiAt the headquarters of the Norwegian People’s Aid, the official handover of seven mine detection dogs to the demining battalion of the B&H Armed Forces will take place in Sarajevo today.

The donation was provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway, as part of the plan for strengthening capacity of the Norwegian People’s Aid to the demining battalion of the B&H Armed Forces.

The training of dogs and guides was implemented by the Global Training Center for mine detection dog training of the Norwegian People’s Aid.

The training began in January this year and after the handover, the team of dogs will work on demining operations of the B&H Armed Forces.

The handover ceremony will be attended by Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to B&H Vibeke Lilloe, Assistant Minister of Defense of B&H Ahmet H. Omerović with colleagues and representatives of the Operational Command of the B&H Armed Forces, announced the press office of the Ministry of Defense B&H.
