Trebinje_RiverIn the past year, Trebinje recorded increase in the number of overnight stays by 30 percent compared to the year 2012.

“Tourists are very satisfied with the visit of Trebinje. Usually those who intended to stay for a day, later on they decided to stay longer. Visitors are attracted to the cultural and historical heritage, religious buildings and a rich gastronomic offer,” said Tatjana Bulajić, director of the Tourist Organization of the Municipality of Trebinje.

“The great attractions are the religious buildings. At the center of Trebinje there is Catholic Cathedral from 19th century, the temple from the 19th century and Osman Pasha’s Mosque. The building which are especially interesting to tourists are the four monasteries: Herzegovina Gracanica of the twentieth century in which Jovan Dučić, Tvrdoš from period IV-V century and  Petro-Paul monastery the VII century ” emphasized Bulajić.

It can be said for certain that Trebinje does not lack fun. In the summer time the city hosts a large number of events. Trebinje summer festivities begin in April with Dučić ‘s Day and ending Dučić’ s recitals in October. Also, there are theater festivals, film festivals, sporting events and concerts and parties in restaurants.
