Trebinje-postcard-largeTrebinje is one of the 400 cities in Europe that in the next period could nominate projects that are based on energy rationalization, which would enable access to European funds and getting donations, said the Mayor Slavko Vučurević.

After returning from Brussels, where he signed an agreement of mayors on energy efficiency, Vučurević said that Trebinje could receive donations from the funds for the reconstruction of construction of everything that is in the area of reduction of emission factors or increasing energy efficiency with maximum savings.

“The implementation of these projects will decrease the loss of electricity in public institutions, as well as in businesses and homes’’, said Vučurević to journalists in Trebinje.

He said that Trebinje already has a plan for specific projects with which it will apply to funds and try to obtain donations, nothing that they can get loans with favorable interest rates.

Vučurević added that the signing of the agreement on energy efficiency for Trebinje represents a recommendation for foreign investment for this local community.

Vučurević is the only Mayor from the area of East Herzegovina who was in Brussels at the invite of the European Commission at the beginning of this week.
