The trial of Rade Grujić, accused of rape in Liplje near Zvornik in June 1992, will begin in the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina next week.

The status conference and the start of the trial of Grujić, a former member of the Snagovo company, Territorial Defense (TO) Zvornik, is scheduled for Thursday, April 13.

He is accused of raping a Bosniak woman in the town of Liplje, where a large number of Bosniak civilians were detained, who were mentally and physically abused.

On Monday, April 10, the defense of Borislav Paravac, who is being tried together with Andrija Bjelošević and Milan Savić for crimes committed in the area of Doboj and Teslić, is scheduled to begin presenting evidence.

They are accused of participating in a joint criminal enterprise and the persecution of Bosniak and Croat civilians from the area of Doboj and Teslić. According to the indictment, Paravac was the president of the Crisis Staff in Doboj, Bjelošević was the head of the Doboj Center of Security Services, and Savić was his deputy.

Next week, trials for war crimes committed in other Bosnian cities will continue in the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BIRN BiH reports.
