mostarExtreme heat affected our country yesterday,  and the warmest city was Mostar.  The temperature in the city on the Neretva River was 40° C, measured at 3 p.m. However, if we consider the fact that the temperature is measured in the shade, then most probably this number is much higher.

Residents of Mostar tried to freshen up in all ways possible, however, the most effective way seemed to be staying in the air-conditioned rooms, since the asphalt was incandescent.

In the other cities of B&H was unbearably hot as well. The temperature measured in Zenica and Banja Luka was 38° C,in Bijeljina and Prijedor 37° C, in Tuzla, Bihać and Sanski Most 36° C, in Gradačac and Bugojno 35° C, while in Sarajevo, Neum and Livno the temperature was 34° C.

Very hot weather is expected for the  rest of the weekend as well, and meteorologists are forecasting even few degrees more. Therefore, the red meteoalarm is issued for today as well, and it signals the weather dangerous for health.
