A family parade called “True Pride Parade” was held for the first time in East Novo Sarajevo, and it is aimed at promoting a family as the core value of society and raising awareness of natality.

One of the members of the NGO “NJu Step” Caslav Vitkovic said that the organization was created with the aim to improve the position of young people in society.

“The “True Pride Parade” is one of our first actions, where, besides the parade of participants, we also prepared rich content for children that includes workshops, a play for children, mascots of their favourite cartoon characters etc. We are planning to organize this action in other cities of the RS as well,” said Vitkovic.

“I think that East Sarajevo is the most beautiful city in the RS today and I hope that this kind of events will be organized in other cities as well because the family is a core cell of every society and we have to work a lot on its promotion,” said Glavas.

He also added that it is very positive that the organizers of this event are young people who recognized the problem of white plague in the RS because they are the ones who will start their own families.

Glavas expressed his hope that this will become a traditional event in East Sarajevo, and maybe even a brand of the city that would clearly state that the citizens of East Sarajevo are aware of the importance of a family and natality.

The organizer of this event is NGO “NJu step” and sponsor is the President of the Municipal Assembly of East Novo Sarajevo.
