The United States (U.S.) secured investments worth 10 trillion dollars as a result of President Donald Trump’s Middle East tour this week, said the U.S. president in yesterday’s speech at the Al Udeid air base in Qatar.
Trump said that Qatar will invest 42 billion dollars in military purchases and ten billion dollars in the improvement of the Al Udeid air base, which houses members of the U.S., British, and Qatari air forces.
Trump’s visit to Doha is part of a Gulf tour that began on Tuesday in Saudi Arabia and is expected to end today in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
His visit to Qatar is the first visit by a U.S. president to that country since George W. Bush’s visit in 2003.
