US President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that significant progress has been made in the peace process between Russia and Ukraine, urging the public to “stay tuned.”

“Great progress on Russia. Stay tuned!” Trump wrote on his social media account Truth Social, without providing any details about the developments.

The announcement comes two days after his three-hour closed-door meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, where Putin said they had reached an “understanding.”

After Friday’s summit, Trump told Fox News that “a lot of things were agreed upon,” noting that “one or two pretty significant things” remained to be resolved.

According to him, a solution now depends on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European countries “to get it done.”

Zelensky, along with several European leaders, is scheduled to meet with Trump at the White House on Monday, three days after the Alaska summit, to discuss the war in Ukraine.
