US President Donald Trump said today that he could “in the near future” further raise tariffs he has imposed on vehicles imported into the US.
“To further protect our auto workers, I have imposed a 25 percent tariff on all foreign cars. I may increase that tariff in the near future,” the US president said at a ceremony at the White House.
He announced the introduction of an additional 25 percent tariff on cars in March.
