Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced the arrival of Chinese President Xi Jinping in Belgrade and said that Taiwan is China. China is known to see Taiwan as a breakaway province that will eventually come under Beijing’s control and has not ruled out using force to seize the island.

With his last controversial statement, Vučić caused a storm in the international community when he told the Information Channel of the state-owned China Global Television Network that Taiwan is China and that China will always have Serbia’s support.

“Taiwan is China, and it’s up to you what, when, how you will do it, period. You make your own decisions. And you will always get support from Serbia,” Vučić told the News Channel of the state-owned China Global Television Network. He previously told the journalist that he does not need more than 10 seconds to explain his position on the matter.

It is an understatement to say that Vučić’s words caused a storm in the international community, bearing in mind that China constantly threatens Taiwan with military intervention.

Of course, China has been sending threatening messages more and more recently that Beijing and Taiwan will unite, which is why many analysts have begun to compare the statements of the Chinese president with those of Vladimir Putin.

China is also planning a military scenario, but even though all the military exercises are for now only a demonstration of power, there is a possibility that one day they could become a front for a real attack.

Vučić also announced the arrival of Chinese President Xi Jinping in Belgrade and called him “a great Serbian friend”.

“I want to say now in front of everyone and publicly that I have received confirmation that this year, in the year of the wooden dragon, our sincere friend and great leader, not only of the People’s Republic of China, but I would say one of the most important world leaders, our sincere a friend whom we want to welcome in the best atmosphere and in the nicest possible way,” Vučić pointed out, Klix.ba writes.
