US President Donald Trump said Iran was “going to be hit hard today”, calling the country “the loser of the Middle East”, after Dubai’s airport was evacuated due to an Iranian drone strike.

An Iranian drone attacked an area near the Dubai International Airport (DXB) terminal, forcing authorities to temporarily suspend flights.

The Dubai Press Office said that for the safety of passengers, airport staff and flight crew, operations at the airport have been temporarily suspended.

Eyewitnesses reported an explosion and smoke
According to reports of the attack, drones were flying near the terminal, and eyewitnesses said black smoke rose over the airport after a loud explosion.

The Dubai Press Office later confirmed that operations at the airport were gradually resuming.

Iran’s counterstrike against US military targets has sparked outrage and concern in the Gulf countries.

The conflict between the US, Israel and Iran entered its second week, while Washington warned of a possible major escalation of attacks, and President Trump again demanded Iran’s unconditional surrender.
