Trump Says It Is “Possible” That The U.S. “Might Get Involved” In The Israel-Iran Conflict

United States (U.S.) President Donald Trump said that it is “possible that (the U.S.) might get involved” in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran.

Trump added that the U.S. is “not currently involved” in the conflict.

He also stated that he would be “open” to the possibility of Russian President Vladimir Putin acting as a mediator.

“He is ready. He called me about it. We had a long conversation about it,” said Trump.

The U.S. president earlier posted on the network Truth Social that Iran and Israel will soon achieve peace.

“Iran and Israel need to reach an agreement – and they will reach it,” he wrote.

“Soon we will have peace between Israel and Iran! Numerous calls and meetings are currently taking place,” he wrote, without providing additional details.

Israel’s attacks on Iran began even as its closest ally, the U.S., was preparing for a new round of nuclear negotiations with Iran. However, just a few hours after Israel launched a major offensive on Friday, Trump described those attacks as “excellent” and “very successful.”

Meanwhile, Israel and Iran continue to exchange fire, and in Tehran, at least three parts of the capital were hit yesterday.

These are areas around buildings where government officials are located, but also civilian areas. Tehran is a very densely populated city, home to about 15 million people.

Many have decided to leave the city, but many have stayed, so it is very concerning to see these attacks in the middle of the day.

The fact that Israel issued warnings to Iranians not to approach military facilities is very concerning because people do not know where most of those facilities are located.
