US President Donald Trump said that the US agreement with Iran has entered the second phase, which, in his opinion, will be easier than the previous one.
“We have a completed agreement with Iran and, in order for it to be successful, it enters the second phase, which will actually be easier,” Trump said at a meeting with Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
The US president reiterated that Tehran had agreed not to develop or acquire nuclear weapons, which was the primary goal of the US military operation in Iran.
“They’re not going to develop it, they’re not going to buy it, they’re not going to do anything with it, and if they do, there will be incredible consequences for them,” Trump added.
