Trump: The Italian Prime Minister has conquered Europe

The newly elected United States (U.S.) President Donald Trump met with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

Meloni visited Trump ahead of her meeting with the current U.S. President Joe Biden, who is set to visit Rome from January 9th to 12th.

“This is very exciting. I’m here with a fantastic woman, the Prime Minister of Italy. She has conquered Europe,” Trump said to those gathered at Mar-a-Lago.

The two officials attended a screening of a documentary, followed by a joint dinner.

The informal meeting, confirmed by reliable sources, highlights Prime Minister Meloni’s aspirations to strengthen ties with the new U.S. administration.

Meloni, considered by some as a conservative leader in Europe, often publicly expresses her admiration for Trump.

Some analysts view her visit as a strategic move to position herself as Trump’s primary European ally.

They also predict that Meloni could play a key role in mediating and resolving tensions between Trump and other European leaders, especially after the newly elected U.S. president threatened a trade war with Europe and hinted at reducing U.S. support for NATO and Ukraine.

Following his victory in the presidential race, Trump also hosted Argentine President Javier Milei, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban at his Florida resort.

Trump will officially assume the office of President of the U.S. during the inauguration on January 20th.
