Four state-of-the-art KIRPI II armored vehicles arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) two days ago as part of a donation from the Republic of Turkey to the Armed Forces of BiH (AFBiH).

The Minister of Defense of our country, Zukan Helez, published a video showing the arrival of the donation in BiH.

During a meeting in Antalya in April with the Minister of Defense of Turkey, Yasar Guler, he emphasized that the signed agreement on the donation of four KIRPI II vehicles, as part of a planned procurement of a total of 32, is in its final phase and that the vehicles, after customs procedures, are expected in the AFBiH.

At the same time, Minister Helez took the opportunity to express his gratitude to Minister Guler for the recent confirmation and letter approving the donation of two TB2 Bayraktar drones.

He also expressed thanks for the donation of a smaller unmanned aerial vehicle within the NATO program for strengthening the defense and security system of BiH (DCB). The donation also includes complete training for pilots and technical personnel who will operate and maintain these systems.

In addition, a donation of an anti-drone system has been secured, as a response to the increasingly present threat of surveillance of military locations, which was taken seriously in the past year.

A significant step forward is also represented by the donation of a UH-1H helicopter for the needs of the Air Force of the AFBiH, whose delivery is expected in the fall of 2025. A training program for eight pilots on Bell platform simulators has also been agreed, which will result in significant savings in the operation of real helicopters.
