The Directorate for Flights of Turkey is in principle ready to approve the establishment of traffic between Tuzla and Istanbul, and during the weekend the check of the Lumiwings airline will be carried out.

Furthermore, the Directorate for Flights of Turkey previously issued a license for the establishment of flights between Tuzla and Istanbul, which was granted to the airline Air Montenegro.

However, the Montenegrin airline did not start operations from the Tuzla International Airport, which is why a new procedure for issuing a license was initiated.

It now refers to the Greek airline Lumiwings, which established operations at the Tuzla International Airport last December.

As the director of Tuzla airport Dzevad Halilcevic confirmed, the Directorate for Flights of Turkey is in principle ready to approve the new establishment of traffic between Tuzla and Istanbul.

According to him, the Greek airline is now undergoing checks and awaiting approval, and this procedure should be completed during the weekend. Accordingly, the issuance of the official license could follow next week.

After obtaining the permit, the conditions will be created for the publication of the flight schedule, which should be available in the winter period as well.

Namely, the Greek Lumiwings currently has one plane based at the Tuzla airport, with which it operates to Stockholm, Halmstad, Maastricht, Saarbrucken and Esbjerg, Klix.ba writes.
