Turkey plans to assist Bosnia’s Defense Ministry with 43 Million BAM

At the session of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina held on Monday, the Proposal of the Agreement on Military-Financial Cooperation between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Implementation Protocol on Financial Assistance between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Republic of Turkey were determined.

It is a donation worth 200 million Turkish lira (43.2 million BAM) for the Ministry of Defense of BiH, which Turkey wants to help in the coming years in resolving the issue of equipment and capabilities of the elements of the BiH defense system and implementing activities from the bilateral military cooperation program.

In accordance with the Implementation Protocol, financial assistance of the Republic of Turkey worth 3.5 million Turkish lira has been provided for professional training of members of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces who attend training in training centers of the Turkish Armed Forces.

The draft agreement and the Implementation Protocol will be submitted to the Presidency of BiH.
