Turkish actress Selma Ergeç, known as the sultana Hatice in popular soap opera ”Suleiman The Magnificent” has arrived this morning to Sarajevo, reports Anadolu agency.
Ergeç came to Sarajevo in order to attend the last night’s film projection ”The Voice” which opened the fifth Festival of Turkish Film.
”It is my first time in Sarajevo. I did not know how famous I am here, I found out just few moments ago”, said Ergeç to Anadolu Agency.
The film ”Voice” was shot two years ago and Ergeç said that in the film she plays with Mehmet Gunsur, who plays the prince Mustafa in the soap opera ”Sulejman the Magnificent”.
Ergeç said that the soap opera is going well, and she’s grateful to producers for giving her days off so she could come to Sarajevo.
Director of the film ”The Voice” Umit Unal whose two films will be shown on the festival has also came to Sarajevo and said that he’s glad that Turkish soap operas are popular in the Balkans, and added that both stars of his film are also the stars of ”Suleiman the Magnificent”.
