Meeting Held in SIPA With Representatives of UN Office for Drugs and Crime

sipa i unA meeting was held yesterday at the State Agency for Investigation and protection with department managers responsible for the fight against drug trafficking of BiH police agencies and representative of the UN office for Drugs and Crime from Vienna (UNODC) Benjamin Crabtree.

The goal of the meeting was to become familiar with the trends and pathways of drug smuggling through the region.

Assistant Director of SIPA Anđelko Hrgić welcomed the guests, and wished a warm welcome and successful work meeting to Benjamin Crabtree and other participants.

In addition to SIPA representatives, representatives of the BiH Ministry of Security, Directorate for Coordination of BiH Police Bodies, BiH Border Police, FMUP, MUP RS and Police of Brčko District attended.

Representatives of BiH Police Agencies presented the successful activities in the fight against this type of crime in BiH.

The conclusion was that the visit, especially the part related to the exchange of information in these areas, was extremely helpful to all participants of the meeting.

Benjamin Crabtree especially thanked all the representatives of agencies for the presented activities and current successful cooperation.
