Turkish Pipeline to pass through BiH?

gasovod-bricks-989The Russian Ambassador to BiH Petr Ivancov stated that the process of construction of a gas pipeline from Russia towards Europe was launched again that that the Turkish pipeline might pass through BiH.

“If the Turkish pipeline manages to catch a swing and replace the Southern pipeline, then we will have new opportunities for this region. That pipeline would pass through several countries in the region, probably through BiH as well,” said Ivancov.

Ivancov stated that the Russian companies work a lot in the energy sector in BiH.

“I reviewed the new statistical data. Zarubežnjet, which operates in the RS, is the main tax payer in BiH. They have certain difficulties in operations, but those difficulties did not appear because they are not doing the things the right way, but because of the current state on the oil market in Europe. However, they announced that they will invest additional ten million EUR in the development of their plants this year,” Ivancov said.
