Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turkovic met yesterday in New York with United Nations Under-Secretary for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs Rosemary DiCarlo.

The interlocutors stated that BiH has made significant progress towards building a stable peace, but that it is necessary to continue the reform process by strengthening institutions and integration factors.

In particular, there was talk of ways to give young people in BiH and the region a chance to build a better future. In that sense, the possibilities of strengthening cooperation and using certain United Nations funds were considered.

During talks with the US diplomat, who was also the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, it was concluded that it is still extremely important to keep the Western Balkans high on the agenda, in order to encourage processes leading to sustainable stability and membership in Euro-Atlantic integration, is stated by the Press Service of the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
