On this occasion, the Director of Tuzla Airport Esed Mujačić met a delegation of the Tuzla Canton government on the currently available resources, potentials, as well as the comparative advantages of this airport in comparison to other airports in the region.

‘’It is very important for the airport to have good initial infrastructure in excellent condition, while providing security and stability, and therefore a good basis for further development’’, said Mujačić.

Special attention to the discussion was devoted to the development of cargo traffic and the further implementation of the project ‘Cargo Center with Air Park’.

‘’In the following period we will take part in the Sarajevo Business Forum 2014 with the project cargo center and air park, and in order to try to find the right partner, ready to help expand their investment and using the capacity of the airport in the region with their investments, and thus the development of the entire region.

The management of the Airport said that in 2013 there were more than 60.000 passengers, and in 2014, with the current activities of eight flights a week, it is expected that there will be more than 100.000 passengers.

Director Mujačić said that it is realistic to expect the airport to enter a new category-of 100.000 to 300.000 passengers, and for further development to become economically independent.
