tuzla film festivalThe EU Special Representative in BiH will support this year’s Tuzla Film Festival as its Silver Sponsor. This ‘Festival of South Slavic Film’ aims to bring together film artists and film goers from the Western Balkans region for the third consecutive year now.

The Tuzla Film Festival (TFF) will take place 10 -14 September 2014.

Commenting on the support to TFF, Head of the EU Delegation/EU Special Representative in BiH, Ambassador Peter Sorensen, said:

“Cultural and regional cooperation are key areas on which the EU puts special emphasis, especially in potential future Member States. The Tuzla Film Festival is yet another example how people on the Bosnia and Herzegovina cultural scene are at the forefront of the country’s EU integration efforts. We have the highest appreciation for their hard work and commitment and welcome opportunities to support them.”

Director of the Tuzla Film Festival, Boris Balta, said:

“We are very pleased and honoured that Ambassador Sorensen has recognized our work and productivity, and decided to support cultural events such as ours. We are determined to continue to work with the same intensity, expanding cultural cooperation at the regional level, regardless of the crises that is around us.”

The Tuzla Film Festival Starts on 10 September in the Bosnian Cultural Centre in Tuzla.
