Tuzla increasingly popular among Tourists: Pannonian Lakes attracts 250,000 Guests

The Pannonian Lakes have turned Tuzla into a recognizable tourist destination in this part of the country. Salt water, a beach in the city center and relatively low entrance fees compared to nearby pools are just some of the reasons why tourists from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region have been coming to Tuzla in recent years.

The Pannonian Lakes have been a salvation from the summer heat for the people of Tuzla and numerous guests this year as well. The nice weather has contributed to the fact that the complex will be visited by around 250,000 guests by August, and around 150 Panonika employees take care of their safety every day.

“I feel safe as far as I’m concerned, the lifeguards are great, the entire program is on the Panonika, and the slide and everything, it’s great.”

“It’s really nice here and I would recommend that everyone come.”

“We love it here, we’re here every day, the atmosphere is nice, everything.”

More and more foreign tourists
The connection of Tuzla with European destinations by air transport also contributes to the arrival of foreign tourists, and the promotion of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the World Cup further increased interest in our country.

“Somehow, that one nice promotion of BiH contributed to that. Here, our Tuzla feels it too. We have a large number of visitors who literally came thanks to learning about our country,” says Amra Jaganjac, director of the Tuzla City Tourist Board.

“People really come from all over our country, neighboring countries, we have guests from Holland, the Czech Republic, Germany”, explains Maid Porobić, director of JP Pannonica Tuzla.

The water is regularly controlled
During the season, special attention is paid to the quality of the water, the correctness of which is regularly controlled.

“It speaks of the good quality of our water, without the presence of any bacteria. Our Institute of Public Health follows us in this and we work every day to maintain that system,” adds Maid Porobić.

Rich program even after bathing
After swimming, the facilities that Tuzla offers during summer evenings are also important for guests.

“This year, the summer in Tuzla has an extremely high-quality offer, and this is shown by the good result – that our guests are satisfied, that they are glad that after swimming in the Pannonian lakes they actually have a nice program in the evenings,” concludes Amra Jaganjac.

The Tourist Board of the City of Tuzla says that it is important to offer guests enough reasons to return to the Tuzla sea again.
