Ekspertna_grupa_promjena_ustavaThe conference on the recommendations of the expert group for FBiH constitutional changes was more than successful, and met all expectations, said the moderator Zoran Pajić at the closing of the two-day conference.

He stressed the functional work of the group, especially in working groups, which, as he said, gave rise of a number of constructive suggestions.

“In the next days, the expert group will consider again all proposals and suggestions, and form a final draft that should be carried on to the FBiH’’ said Zoran Pajić.

Thanking the leadership of the FBiH, non-profit organizations and members of the academic community that attended the conference and actively participated in its work, Zoran Pajić singled out the support of the US Embassy, EU Delegation to BiH and the British Embassy in the entire process of making recommendations.

“The determination of experts to bring this to an end is visible, and I am especially pleased that the recommendations were made ‘readable’ and available to everyone’’, concluded Zoran Pajić.

On behalf of the expert group, Mile Lasić addressed the audience and said that it is about time for an ‘overhaul’ of the FBiH.

“Anyone who, for whatever reason, ignores these recommendations has to take account of their (anti) democratic intentions’’, he said.

He added that the recommendations would soon be in the FBIH Parliament because that is the path towards changing the FBIH Constitution.

“The reform of the FBIH Constitution should benefit everyone and I appeal to all relevant institutions to begin the process immediately. Only in this way can we help so that BIH does not remain in a “frozen conflict”, said Mile Lasić.

Next week, the expert group will have a final document, and through official promoters will make recommendations in the parliamentary procedure.
