Two miners who were injured in a mining accident in the Breza Coal Mine should leave the Zenica Cantonal Hospital today, is confirmed for Fena news agency by the director of the mine, Muamer Omerhodzic.

In the accident, which took place just before 2 pm yesterday, a mine explosion operative and a site supervisor, 47-year-old Adis Zaimovic, was killed.

The investigation at that preparatory work site lasted until late last night, and, as he announced, the Zenica Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office will probably order an autopsy of the deceased Zaimovic today, who did not show signs of life immediately after the accident.

“The miners went into the pit this morning and continued to work, in the first shift, but emotionally empty and depressed. We lost another colleague so you know how it feels. This is another sad day for our mine and city,” says Omerhodzic.
