The President of the Central Election Commission of BiH Stjepan Mikić and the Head of the OSCE Mission to BiH Fletcher Burton signed today in Sarajevo a memorandum of understanding.
The signing of today’s memorandum is only the continuation of years of cooperation that implies the presence of observers of the OSCE Mission to BIH at meeting of the BiH Central Election Commission, announced in a statement of the BIH Central Election Commission.
The OSCE Mission will help the BIH Central Election Commission in obtaining expert opinions and attitudes relevant to international organizations and institutions such as the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe and the OSCE Office for democratic institutions and human rights.
The memorandum will continue the cooperation on the implementation of the project with the goal to improve the electoral process as well as improvement in the area of fulfilling other responsibilities of the Central Election Commission.
