The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has ordered a one-month detention for Marko Plavšić and Ljuban Vuković, suspected of obstructing the work of the judiciary.
The detention may last until March 27 or until a new decision by the Court of BiH, the judicial institution announced.
The detention was ordered at the proposal of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
Plavšić and Vuković were arrested by members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), after threatening Judge Sena Uzunović, who handed down the first-instance verdict against Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik.
Plavšić and Vuković sent threats to Judge Uzunović from their car via video message on the eve of Dodik’s verdict.
As a reminder, the Court of BiH handed down a first-instance verdict against RS President Milorad Dodik, sentencing him to a one-year prison sentence and banning him from holding the office of President of RS for six years, for disobeying the decisions of the High Representative in BiH, Christian Schmidt.
Miloš Lukić, acting director of the Official Gazette of the RS, was acquitted of the charges.
