Two Parties submitted an Initiative for Dismissal of BiH Foreign Minister

An initiative for the reconstruction of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina – the dismissal of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Elmedin Konaković, was submitted to the parliamentary procedure today. The initiative was signed by 11 representatives of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) and the Democratic Front (DF), the SDA Club in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH announced.

The explanation of the initiative, among other things, stated that “the state of BiH has been caused incalculable damage on the international level due to the connection of Minister Konaković with individuals from the ‘Tito and Dino’ drug cartel, as evidenced by correspondence from the Sky application and the Europol agency’s schemes”.

“The issue of Minister Konaković’s participation in the illegal extension of the mandate of the acting agent of the Council of Ministers of BiH before the European Court of Human Rights was also raised, which enabled that person’s activities in challenging the first-instance verdict in the ‘Kovačević’ case”, the SDA Club said in a statement.

One of the particularly important reasons for launching the initiative to dismiss Minister Konaković is the cancellation of the Neum Summit in December last year, which, according to the statement, is a diplomatic scandal that caused unprecedented shame to Bosnia and Herzegovina and its credibility and path to EU membership.
