U.S. Embassy Press Statement on Adoption of the RSNA Declaration

us_embassyThe U.S. Embassy in Sarajevo joins the broader international community in expressing deep concern with regard to the declaration adopted today by the RSNA.

The authority of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina is established in Annex IV, Article 6 of the Dayton Peace Agreement.  This is a matter of law and is in the best interest of this country and all of its citizens.

Respect for the rule of law is essential for all successful societies and pivotal for the future of BiH. We expect past and future rulings of the Constitutional Court to be respected, regardless of the nature of the decision or issue.
