U.S. ‘Regulus Global’ Invests 25 Million Dollars In The Modernization Of Pretis Factory

The United States (U.S.) company Regulus Global has begun the accelerated implementation of a capital investment worth approximately 25 million dollars in the company Pretis, thereby fulfilling previously assumed obligations toward Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), said the President and Chief Executive Officer of Regulus Global, Joseph L. Wallis.

As stated, this phase of the investment was initially planned for 2026, but thanks to close cooperation with the Government of the Federation of BiH (FBiH) and relevant institutional partners, its start was moved to 2025.

The investment is focused on concrete and measurable improvements of production capacities, including the installation of advanced induction heating and thermal treatment systems, modernization of a press that enables the production of several types of large-caliber ammunition, as well as the installation of a press for shaping projectile tips, with the aim of increasing precision, efficiency, and uniformity of production.

Wallis emphasized that these are not symbolic investments, but key capacities that strengthen industrial resilience, product quality, and long-term competitiveness.

“From the very beginning, I clearly emphasized that Regulus Global is not here for short-term profit. We are here to build. The acceleration of this investment reflects confidence in the expertise of the local workforce and the belief that the defense industry of BiHdeserves continuous and serious development,” Wallis stated.

According to him, the modernization directly contributes to preserving qualified jobs, knowledge transfer, and the long-term sustainability of domestic production, as well as to the broader security and supply chain of European and allied partners who rely on reliable and high-quality production capacities.

Regulus Global, as emphasized, operates in full compliance with the legal framework, regulatory oversight, and institutional competencies of the FBiH, with transparency and cooperation remaining key principles of operation.

This investment represents part of a broader, multi-year plan, within which Regulus Global intends to invest more than 100 million dollars in the defense industry sector of BiH, as stated on the official website of Regulus Global.

“Trust is not built only through statements, but through consistency, fulfillment of obligations, and respect for the people and institutions of the country in which one invests. Regulus Global remains long-term committed to BiH and to shared progress,” Wallis said, the company announced.
