Srebrenica Banner Process radiosarajevo.ba

The umbrella organization of European football, UEFA, have filed a claim against FC Sarajevo because of a banner that the supporters of the club from Koševo raised during the match of the second qualifying round of the Champions League against FC Lech Poznań.

During the match, the fans of FC Sarajevo raised a banner saying “Never forget Srebrenica genocide, never forgive”. The UEFA officials who attended the match FC Sarajevo – FC Lech Poznań played at the “Asim Ferhatović Hase” stadium last week noted the raising of this banner, and now a claim has been opened against FC Sarajevo.

The officials of the BH champion are now awaiting the official statement from UEFA about this case, and FC Sarajevo would have the right to appeal to the eventual sentence.
