Ukraine claimed Responsibility for the Attack on the Refinery in Russia

The Ukrainian authorities today claimed responsibility for the drone attack on a refinery in southwestern Russia, where the Russian military said earlier today that it had destroyed 80 Ukrainian drones during an attack on several Russian territories during the night.

Sources close to the Ukrainian defense announced that several drones were targeting the refinery in Tuaps, a city on the Black Sea coast in Russia’s Krasnodar region, where the fire broke out.

“The extent of the damage is being clarified”, added the same sources, stating that it is a refinery of the Russian giant Rosneft equipped with a port terminal and that about 90 percent of its production is intended for export.

Russian regional authorities announced on Telegram that the fire in the refinery was caused by a drone attack.

“The Kyiv regime has once again tried to attack civilian infrastructure in Tuapse with drones,” the Russian authorities said, adding that 100 firefighters were dispatched to the scene.

According to initial reports, no one was injured, Beta reports.
