The arrival of six B&H police officers in South Sudan was eagerly awaited for the UN Peacekeeping Mission, and this is the main news on the official site of UNMISS, announced the B&H Ministry of Security in Sarajevo.
In an text that accompanies a gallery of pictures with the arrival of B&H police officers in Juba on 12 January, it was stated that the UN police officers from B&H would strengthen the capacity of the Mission to South Sudan.
This is the first strengthening, arriving after the outbreak of unrest in this country on December 2013 and after the call of the UN Security Council to increase the number of peacekeepers.
‘’B&H now has 41 police officers in this country, and soon we can expect the arrival of 28 more’’, said in the text of the UNMISS.
The B&H Minister of Security Fahrudin Radončić escorted six B&H officers from various law enforcement agencies on 4 January this year from the International Airport Sarajevo.
