Chamber of Crafts of Una-Sana Canton launched the project “Weaving and Embroidery School”, with the aim of preserving old traditional crafts, national customs and many elements of tradition, culture and ethnic characteristics in B&H.
“This project is supported and financed by Municipality Bihać, and has received a lot of attention because more than 20 candidates of different educational levels have already applied”, said the President of Crafts Chamber of Una Sana Canton Šemsudin Bajrić.
According to him,Vera Altić from Žegar and Fatima Kosović from the Women’s Association “Kulen Vakuf” will lead this school, where participants will learn everything connected to weaving and embroidery.
Master Anita Ibukić will speak to participants about the history of weaving, motifs and products design.
This school will last two and a half months.
Participants will receive certificates on successful completion of the school and some of them who successfully finish the school are expected to establish their own craft stores.
