The equipment worth about 6,500 US dollars was donated to the Cantonal Administration of Civil Protection Service of the Una-Sana Canton, namely aggregates and pumps for pumping out water.
Considering the recent floods and the damage suffered throughout the canton, this is another example of the unquestionable support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“UNDP, as part of the United Nations team in Bosnia and Herzegovina, always tries to respond to the calls of local communities in these situations.
This is also logical considering that we are the largest UN agency with more than 40 million dollars for numerous projects, and which is present in more than 90 percent of local communities.
We strive for our assistance to be a response to needs, that is, where and when it is most needed,” said the head of the UNDP Office in Banja Luka, Goran Vukmir.
