Academy ceremony in the amphitheater of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Tuzla has marked 36 years of successful operation and action. From the very formation of the University of Tuzla until now, this institution had educated more than 20. 000 graduates, 3.500 post-graduates and 500 doctoral students.
Rector of the University of Tuzla, Professor Enver Halilović awarded gold medals to students who have received scholarships for the next cycle of schooling. Gold medals were awarded to Melika Sulejmanović (School of Economics – average grade 10), Lejla Selmanović (Law School – the average grade 10), Amela Delić (Faculty of Philosophy- Department for Journalism – the average grade 9, 72), Dijana Petković (Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences – the average grade 9, 70), Alisa Brkić (Academy of Performing Arts – the average grade 9, 68) and Amra Šakušić (School of Medicine- average grade the 9, 50). Melika Sulejmanović is the first in the history of the Faculty of Economics that graduated with a 41st highest grade in the grade book. Melika says: ” Quite recently I started working as an assistant teacher at the Faculty of Economics. I finished my studies with a lot of hard work, but I never undermined other important aspects of life”.
Rector of the University in Tuzla said how this University needs a new law on higher education that will open the opportunities for further academic development.
