At the rectory of the University of Sarajevo, nine doctors in the field of technic, journalist, political sciences as well as in the field of defence and security, sports, pharmacy, history, medicine and pedagogy were promoted two days ago.
The following doctors are: Selma Hanjalić, Zarfa Hrnjić, Damir Kapidžić, Zlatan Bajramović, Aldvin Torlaković, Belma Imamović, Dragana Amedoski, Azra Kadić i Kenan Karavdić.
The rector of the University of Sarajevo, professor doctor Muharem Avdispahić said that by this promotion act a doctor becomes a citizen who must always try to contribute to development of the social, academic and scientific community.
“We aspire to be a part of the European education frame and tradition. High education is a public good and that why it’s necessary to increase investments into it so we could have a more certain future of this society.” – said Avdispahić.
He also pointed out that doctors of science are truly required in the BH institutions as well as in the projects related to building scientific and research capacities and that their presence represents a stability factor of our society in general because they are “generators of new scientific development trends.”
