The United States of America, through the US Embassy and the Office for Combating International Narcotics Trafficking and Law Enforcement (INL), donated winter equipment, heaters and medical equipment to the Directorate for the Coordination of Police Bodies in BiH worth about $48,000.
The equipment provides significant assistance and improves the capacities of the Directorate for the Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH, enabling better readiness to respond in emergency situations.
Director of INL, Matan Meyer, together with Deputy Regional Security Officer (RZS) Marko Romanowski, visited the Directorate for the Coordination of Police Bodies in Bosnia and Herzegovina today, and met with the director of the Directorate, Mirsad Vilić.
Vilić referred to the efforts aimed at expanding and improving capacities, as well as the activities contained in the Directorate’s Strategic Development Plan, which relate to strengthening communication, coordination and cooperation both with the police authorities in BiH and with international partners.
He emphasized that the improvement of technical capabilities is one of the constant priorities and goals of the Directorate for the Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH.
Through this donation, the USA continues to be a committed ally in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s efforts to protect the integrity and security of the country and its people, the Directorate announced.
