US joins Israel in attacking Iran, strikes Key Nuclear Sites

U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that American forces carried out a successful strike on three Iranian nuclear facilities, including the underground Fordow enrichment site. In a post shared on Truth Social, Trump confirmed that the targets – Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan – were hit, and that all participating aircraft were returning safely.

“All planes are safe and on their way home,” Trump wrote, praising U.S. military personnel as “great American warriors.” He ended his statement with a call for calm, saying: “Now is the time for peace.”

A U.S. official, speaking anonymously to Reuters, revealed that B-2 stealth bombers took part in the operation.

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, strongly condemned the airstrikes, labeling them a blatant violation of international norms. In a statement posted on social media, Araghchi accused the United States — a permanent member of the UN Security Council — of violating the UN Charter, international law, and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

“These outrageous attacks will have lasting consequences,” Araghchi warned, adding that the global community should be alarmed by what he called “dangerous, unlawful, and criminal behavior.”

The escalation follows more than a week of intensified conflict between Israel and Iran, with airstrikes causing significant casualties on both sides. While Israel has justified the attacks as efforts to halt Iran’s nuclear weapons ambitions, Tehran insists its nuclear program is strictly for peaceful energy and research purposes.

So far, diplomatic efforts by Western nations to mediate an end to the conflict have shown little progress.
