US President Joe Biden said in a conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the US will not participate in any offensive actions against Iran, reports Al Jazeera Balkans.
After several days of threats, Iran carried out a major airstrike on Israel in response to the attack on their consulate in Damascus.
Israel says more than 330 drones, ballistic and cruise missiles were fired, most of which the Israelis claim were shot down.
This is the first time that Tehran has carried out a direct military attack on Israel.
Al Jazeera’s journalist Ivica Puljić reports that the Americans are telling the Iranians – “don’t take revenge actions”.
