US support to BiH Prosecutor’s Office and the process of strengthening the rule of Law

Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, Milanko Kajganić, met with Gabriel Escobar, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the State Department and US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, at the State Department in Washington.

The officials discussed the fight against organized crime and corruption.

They pointed out that corruption is a key problem in Bosnia and Herzegovina and that the fight against these crimes should ensure the strengthening of the rule of law for all BiH citizens.

Kajganić introduced Escobar to the activities carried out by the BiH Prosecutor’s Office in the fight against organized crime and corruption, in which significant cooperation with partner institutions from abroad, including good cooperation with partner institutions from the USA, is realized.

Escobar expressed US support to the BiH Prosecutor’s Office and the process of strengthening the rule of law in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the coming period, the BiH Prosecutor’s Office announced.
