Vandals stole entire decorative Lighting from Sarajevo Bridges

In the past two nights, vandals stole the complete decorative lighting from the Drvenija Bridge, and part of the lighting was stolen and damaged from the Eiffel and Cumurija Bridges.

The mayor of Sarajevo, Predrag Puharić, expressed his indignation, pointing out that the vandals, who were ready to commit such an act in the very center of the city, do not see Sarajevo as their city.

“The city of Sarajevo reported a theft yesterday and today. We believe that the police will be efficient and prevent new thefts. We expect that the thieves will be discovered, and that the stolen decorative lighting will be returned to the City of Sarajevo, so that it can decorate Sarajevo’s bridges in the coming years as well,” said Puharić.

Sarajevo welcomed the Christmas and New Year holidays with lavish decorations. Sarajevo’s bridges, which the City of Sarajevo has been decorating with decorative lighting for the third year, were especially lit up, the City Administration announced.
