Verstappen is considering Ending his Career after being fined for Swearing

Current Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen has worried his fans by announcing that he is thinking about ending his career.

At a press conference on Thursday ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix, Verstappen spoke about the events at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix and on that occasion used swear words when criticizing his team, and was punished by the International Automobile Federation (FIA) with community service.

Verstappen excused himself that he used a curse word as slang, and that English is not his native language, but this did not help him to avoid a penalty.

This is why he gave terse answers at the official press conferences during the Singapore Grand Prix, but was extremely open to talking with the media in one-on-one interviews.

Verstappen appears to have hinted at an exit from Formula 1 after his contract with Red Bull Racing expires in 2028.

“Absolutely, this penalty will force me to retire early from Formula 1. You can’t be yourself, and it’s a signal for me to think about continuing my career. Formula 1 will continue to exist without me, and I don’t want to be a robot and censor myself.” said a disappointed Verstappen.

Verstappen has not won eight races in a row, and his advantage over second-placed Lando Norris has decreased to only 52 points, Klix.ba writes.
