Veterans Of The ARBiH Meet With BiH Presidency Member

Among other things, they informed the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) that the Unified Organization of Fighters – Union of Veterans of BiH had initiated the process of amending the Law on Supplementary Rights of Veterans.

Denis Becirovic, Member of the Presidency of BiH, met with a delegation of the Unified Organization of Fighters – Union of Veterans of BiH, which included: President Munib Efendic, Vice Presidents Irfan Imamovic and Adem Kajanija, President of the Unified Organization of Fighters – Union of Veterans of Tuzla Canton (TC) Sulejman Ibrahimovic, and representative of the Unified Organization of Fighters – Union of Veterans of Zenica-Doboj Canton(ZDC) Vernes Karzic.

Representatives of the Unified Organization of Fighters – Union of Veterans of BiH emphasized that this organization, which has 118.000 members, represents the interests of veterans of the 1992-1995 Defensive-Liberation War.

They added that the Unified Organization of Fighters – Union of Veterans of BiH, as an organization that preserves the traditions of the Army of the Republic of BiH (ARBiH), is permanently dedicated to affirming and protecting the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of BiH.

The member of the Presidency of BiH stated that the fighters are most deserving of the fact that today we have a free, independent, sovereign, and unified state of BiH.

He added that he particularly appreciates the role and activities carried out by the Unified Organization of Fighters – Union of Veterans of BiH. He also pointed out the obligation of the competent institutions to do everything within their power to improve the status of the veteran population.

The competent institutions must respect the obligations defined by law for this category, but also find new models for adequately addressing the problems of veterans.

Representatives of the Unified Organization of Fighters – Union of Veterans of BiH thanked Becirovic for consistently and responsibly affirming and defending the state interests of BiH.

They informed the member of the Presidency of BiH that the Unified Organization of Fighters – Union of Veterans of BiH had initiated the process of amending the Law on Supplementary Rights of Veterans, which aims to improve the status of veterans, the Office of the Member of the Presidency Denis Becirovic announced.
