Victims’ Association welcomes EU Parliament Resolution

The Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide welcomed the EU Parliament’s resolution and condemnation of the statement of convicted war criminal Darijo Kordić, who said he would “repeat everything” regarding the crimes for which he was convicted by the Hague Tribunal.

“We also addressed other EU and international institutions, which we still expect to follow the example of the EU Parliament. The amendment by Klemen Grošelj, Tineke Strik and Dietmar Köster was voted by an overwhelming majority of 526 votes in favor, 43 against and 62 abstentions in the EU Parliament, and those who implement crime denial policies and affirm crime and criminals in Bosnia and Herzegovina were against and abstained.

Respected EU parliamentarians, 526 of them, called on all political parties, especially members of the government in BiH, to clearly distance themselves from the statements of war criminal Darijo Kordić. They also called on the judicial authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina to take appropriate legal action,” stated the Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide.

The association once again called on the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina to remove from office Lidija Bradara, the president of the FBiH, and Sanja Vlaisavljević, the minister in the FBiH government, who, as they stated, support the war criminal Kordić.

“We call on all institutions in BiH to act urgently according to the Resolution of the EU Parliament, which calls for measures and actions to be taken to sanction the actions of this war criminal, as well as his protectors and helpers,” said the Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide.
