The Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in Austria, in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce of Austria (WKO), and with the support of the Bank of Austria, organized a promotion of the investment and economic potential of BiH in Vienna, held in the Bank of Austria.

The participants were addressed by the Ambassador of BiH to Austria – Tomislav Leko, Regional Manager for South East Europe at the Austrian Chamber of Commerce – Konstantin Bekos and the head of the Center for Diplomatic Missions and International Business Clients of the Bank of Austria – Martin Mayr.

The promotion was done through two panels which were moderated by the Head of the WKO Office in BiH, Philippe Kupfer.

At the first panel entitled “Reasons for investing in BiH, plans for cooperation, “ the participants were representatives of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) and the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH – Export Promotion Agency, which explained through the presentation and discussion the comparative advantages of BiH and economic potentials that are relevant to potential partners from Austria.

Within the second panel entitled “Business and investment chances at the regional level in BiH, “ representatives of the chambers of commerce of the Federation of BiH and Republika Srpska and two Austrian companies operating in BiH (AUSTROTHERM GmbH and STUDEN & Co Holding GmbH) presented and discussed the topic about concrete possibilities for cooperation between BiH and the Republic of Austria in economic and trade terms.

After the formal panel section, a section related to the questions and answers related to the mentioned topics, as well as to the direct contact of the participants, followed.

As part of the presentation, the participants got the chance to taste wine and cheese from BiH.
