Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies in BiH (DKPT) Mirsad Vilic confirmed for the Patria News Agency that the Directorate estimated that the security of the President of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH (HJPC) Milan Tegeltija was not compromised, and therefore rejected the request for Tegeltija to obtain personal security.
“The Law on the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies and Support Agencies for BiH Police Structure and Decision of the Council of Ministers of BiH on taking over jobs, facilities, work resources and employees between the Ministry of Security of BiH, SIPA and DKPT have defined competencies related on a protected person. The Directorate is not competent or authorized to establish Tegeltija’s physical security, “Vilic told Patrija.
He added that, accordingly, Tegeltija’s personal security claim was rejected and that he was proposed to address the police authorities in the event of new information on threats for his safety.
