Pope FrancisThe upcoming visit of Pope Francis, that is very much welcomed by not only the Catholic faithful but also all people of good will in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is another proof and confirmation of centuries-old relationship of the Holy See and the people in Bosnia and Herzegovina, said a member of the BiH Presidency and President of the Organizing Committee for welcoming the Pope Francis, Dragan Čović.

“I sincerely believe, as he said, that the Pope’s message “Peace be with you” – the official motto of his visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, though often hidden is deeply rooted in each of us and we will open heartedly accept and advocate for the efforts of Pope Francis that his visit further strengthens the building of universal values: peace, respect, tolerance and inter-religious dialogue”, said Čović announced the press office of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“It is especially important for our young people, who with a special atmosphere await our dear guest, and with his encouragement they want to remain on their own, on their land and in their country, and in peace and unity build a better tomorrow for themselves and their families.

I am happy on behalf of all people of good will, especially the Catholics who are mostly Croats, to expressed gratitude to Pope Francis as his visit and blessing will open the doors of our common and better future,” said Čović.
