Vucic: Radoicic was a close Ally of mine, I cannot extradite Him to Pristina

“I cannot extradite Milan Radoičić to Priština, because we do not recognize Kosovo. He was my close ally, but not my friend,” said the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, in an interview with Sky News.

When asked about Pristina’s claims that Belgrade allegedly planned the events in Banjska and provided weapons to a group of Serbs, and about the photos of the Kosovo Police that show that the majority of the seized weapons were produced in Serbia, the Serbian president says that it is always easier to accuse Belgrade.

They used weapons produced in Serbia

“Who will believe that it is actually something different, almost no one,” said Vučić, reports Kossev.

He repeated that members of the Kosovo Police also use weapons produced in Serbia, but that Serbia did not sell them to them.

“Those guys who were chasing the Serbs and who are from the Kosovo Police, were carrying AK manufactured here in Kragujevac,” said Vučić.

The Serbian president is convinced that it is easy to find weapons and not only on the black market.

“People will always support people who want to defend, because from our point of view, from the point of view of the Serbs, it is part of Serbia, according to our Constitution, it is a different angle that you have to look at. That’s why I say, it’s not something that’s allowed, but I say it’s not that difficult,” said Vučić.

“Are you kidding me or what”

Speaking about Milan Radoičić, whom Priština accuses of being the organizer of the group, Vučić gave new details about how he obtained the weapons, referring to Radoičić’s statement.

“The guy who was questioned in the pre-trial proceedings said that he bought something in Serbia, something in Croatia, something in Bosnia and Herzegovina, we will check it now,” the president of Serbia told Sky news.

Asked if Radoičić is his close ally, Vučić answered in the affirmative:

“There is no doubt, he was the vice president of the Serbian List.

However, he cannot say that he was his friend.

“He is accused. It was a big, huge criminal act,”emphasized Vučić.

When asked why he does not extradite Radoičić to Priština, Vučić answers with the question – “are you kidding me or what”.

“I am asking you because you know that we cannot extradite anyone to Pristina, because we do not recognize Kosovo as a state,” said Vučić.

He condemns the killing of a policeman

He repeats that this is a serious crime, but also says:

“There were thousands of serious crimes and even though we are a member of the UN, they did not extradite anyone to Belgrade.”

Speaking about the group of Serbs who clashed with the Kosovo police in Banjska, Vučić states that “those people were mostly driven from their doorsteps”.

Asked if he has sympathy for these people, Vučić says that he does not and that he condemns the murder of a policeman, regardless of what he does or what happens in the North of Kosovo. However, he adds that unlike Pristina, which calls them terrorists, he cannot describe “the people who lived there and wanted to return” that way.

Asked why he does not normalize relations with Pristina, Vučić pointed out to Sky News that Serbia is doing everything and is constructive, and that it was so at the last meeting in Brussels, accepting all the proposals of the European Union.
